| In an industry here precision and uality are of prime importance, Republic maintains its high standards by using only the finest materials that are carefully selected for their refraction, melt data, spectral range and other inherent optical characteristics. Whether the ultra violet transmission of a quartz lens is needed for use in a spectrophotometer, or a germanium window for an infrared sensor, or a compound crown and a flint for a telescopic sight, or such materials as pyrex, silicon, calcium, fluoride, sodium chloride, Iritran and others, Republic can fabricate them in any single or compound form fro the in-depth requirements of today's optical applications.
Antireflective coatings, both single layer and high efficency multi-layer, are applied in the precise spectral range specified to achieve transmission levels as high as 99.6%. Reflective coatings include standard aluminum depositions of 88%, while our enhanced aluminum achieves 99.4% reflectivity. Other reflective coatings such as silver or gold are available, and our technical staff recommendations can be selected to optimize designated performance and targeted cost. Our specialized thin film coatings include mulit-layer dielectric amd dichrioc coatings, various beamsplitter coatings yielding any combination of transmission and reflectance (polarizing and non-polarizing), and variable density filters.
